Company Enhances Education and Arts Programs through Outreach Giving Bob's Discount Furniture today announced that it will donate funds to seven schools in New York in support of arts and education programs. These funds are made possible through money collected in donation jars, which are located in each store's cafe. Each of these New York schools will receive $1,000 checks in March: George Clinton Elementary, Poughkeepsie P.S. 241 Emma L. Johnston School, Brooklyn Rockland Country Day School, Congers Smithtown High School West, Smithtown Rushmore Avenue Elementary School, Carle Place Bayview Avenue School, Freeport P.S. 138-01, Queens Valley School, Flushing "Our monthly school donations are a great way for us to show our appreciation to the communities that support our stores," said Cathy Poulin, public relations director, Bob’s Discount Furniture. 2. Every month, Bob's randomly selects seven schools in the communities near its stores and makes a donation of $1,000.
