Hemuppgift 2: Cancerbehandling • Cancerbehandling bygger på att skada celler i snabb tillväxt/delning (såsom cancerceller) så selektivt som möjligt • Colchicine, vincristine, och taxol är exempel på potentiella anti-cancer läkemedel som verkar på cytoskelettet • Förklara kort vilken/vilka processer/mekanismer i cellen (från dagens föreläsning) som påverkas • Varför drabbas cancerceller så mycket hårdare än många andra (normala) celltyper i kroppen. • En biverkan av vincristine kan vara nerv-påverkan, ex nedsatt känsel i händer/fötter • Rent mekanistiskt, utifrån dagens föreläsning, varför kan denna biverkan ske (dessa nervceller cell-delar sig ju inte)?

  2. Vincristine binder tubulin dimers, Och inhiberar assembly av microtubule structurer Colchicine inhiberar microtubuli polymerisation genom att binda till tubulin, Taxol hyper-stabiliserar microtubuli genom att binda till β subunit av tubulin.
