My Dolls House

My Dolls House. Liz Coleman. Welcome to my Dolls House. My Dolls House was built for me about 11 years ago by the partner of a friend. The house was based around plans by Gable End Designs. I wanted a house which I would like to live in, complete with tea-rooms and a spiral staircase.

  2. Welcome to my Dolls House My Dolls House was built for me about 11 years ago by the partner of a friend. The house was based around plans by Gable End Designs. I wanted a house which I would like to live in, complete with tea-rooms and a spiral staircase. ‘ I hope you enjoy looking around my house’.

  3. Just like my own house, my Dolls House has evolved over time, one similarity in both is my ability to clutter! My Dolls House tells a story, a story of friendships, of gifts and of family. Many of the pieces inside my house have a story all of their own...

  4. Teddy Bears here, there and everywhere! Many teddy bears live in my Dolls House. For a long time I didn’t want people in my house. I find many dolls house figures look too plastic and lack personality. I bought a couple of teddies and friends have added to my collection over the years. I crochet blankets to keep them warm and make food for their teddy bear picnics!

  5. Tea Room Many a happy afternoon can be spent in the tea room. I make a lot of the food from fimo with my son, Jordan. Last year he got carried away making pork pies and tarts. I found them everywhere in saucepans, frying pans and cups. Jordan and I made the figures in the picture on the left. I think they’ve spend the evening enjoying the wine.

  6. The lounge/living room holds lots of memories for me: A miniature book bought for me by my friend Gwen and a 3 piece suite painstakingly recovered one afternoon by my friend Stuart. Stuart had bought his friend over to say hi and have a cup of tea. His poor friend spent the afternoon carefully ironing bits of material and looking a bit confused!

  7. Every Dolls House needs a dolls house... ...and every teddy needs a blanket to keep them warm.
