Steps to DSPSDanita Scott-Taylor- Director 1) Apply to Delta College 2) Take Assessment (Assessment Center located in DeRicco110) 3) Attend a New Student Group Advising (NSGA) Session • Call DSPS two days in advance to arrange for accommodations 3) Make Appointment with DSPS Counselor and *Bring Disability Documentation • Complete New Student Intake • Review disability documentation • Discuss accommodations • Develop Comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP) * Appointments rescheduled for students who do not bring disability documentation.

Introducing TASK Summer 2015 Transition for Academic Success is Key (TASK) • A two week intensive orientation designed for students who learn differently, offered MTWTH, June 8 – 18, 8:30 am to 12: 30 pm. Limited to 25 students. Applications accepted April 6 – May 8th. • Students enroll in two classes: • Learning Skills 072: Transition for Academic Success (1 unit) • Guidance 019: Introduction to College (1 unit) • Designed to help students transition from high school to college, including: • How to access DSPS services • Understanding an academic accommodations plan and how to discuss it with faculty • Exploring Delta College support services and academic resources
