TRY-OUTS • March 7th @ 1:00 pm • In New Gym – In groups of 3 • 3 UCA Judges + Administration • Weighting for Try-Outs (100 Point Scale) • 85% Judges (cheer, chant, dance, jumps/tumbling) • 15% Constitution Test • Must Wear: • Black Shorts • White Shirt • White Shoes and Socks • Black Bow • Must attend 2 out of 3 practices

  4. Squad size Varsity Squad: 9 – 10 members Junior Varsity Squad: 8 members Mascot: 1 – 2 ** Judges along with administration will decide where the natural break occurs.

Fundraising opportunities • March 17 – July 1 • Points System $1.00 = 1 point • Points will be applied to the squad member’s balance. • Opportunities Include: • Monthly Carwash • Fan Cloth Product Sales (March 17 – April 1) • Candy Sales • Sponsorships • If your child chooses not to participate in these opportunities the full balance will be required at the designated times.

  8. Camp Camp is mandatory. No exceptions! Varsity Camp: Overnight UCA Camp University of North Texas July 22 – 25 Junior Varsity Camp: Day Camp Rogers Elementary Gym August 1 – 2 **Varsity members are required to be at both camps.

  9. Captain/co-captain • 1 Captain and 1 Co-Captain will be selected • Must have at least one year of experience on the Varsity Squad. • The captain will be a senior. • The co-captain will be a junior. • Selection Process: • Complete written application in April • Interview with an administrative committee in May
