Parents Providing for Infants The USDA permits parents to provide some meals components for infants. • The center is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of all meals components for all participants, whether the parent provides some or all of the meals components • This includes: • Formula • Infant Cereal • Meat / Meat Alternates • Fruits and Vegetables • Bread or Crackers

  3. Parents Providing for Infants • If the parent declines all center-provided formula and foods, you may not claim the infant’s meals.

  4. Parents Providing Meals • At the State’s discretion, children’s meal components may be provided by parents. • The components must be creditable, and the center must supply the majority of the meals components in order to claim the meal for reimbursement. Such as:
