  2. HISTORIA • El Pop Art fue un importante movimiento artístico delsiglo XX que se caracteriza por el empleo de imágenes de la cultura popular tomadas de los medios de comunicación, tales como anuncios publicitarios,comic book y objetos culturales.

EL POP ART Y EL COMIC • Son multitud las obras de arte pop basadas en historietas. Román Gubern destaca con Flash (1963), Richard Pettibone con Tricky Cad (1959) yJess Collins con Dick Tracy (1960).  Andy Warhol con Good Morning, Darling (1964) y Roy Lichtenstein con As I Opened Fire(1964). Con los años, algunos historietistas serían influidos a su vez por el Pop-Art. Es el caso del belga Guy Peellaert, autor de obras como Jodelle (1966) y Pravda la Survireuse (1968).

  6. EL COMIC • Se llamahistorietao cómica una "serie de dibujos que constituye un relato", "con texto o sin él", así como al medio de comunicación en su conjunto. Partiendo de la concepción de Will Eisner de esta narrativa gráfica como un arte secuencial.
