  2. After School Education and Safety (ASES) • The result of the 2002 voter-approved initiative, Proposition 49 • Encourages schools and school districts to provide safe, enriching alternatives for students during non-school hours

  3. 21st Century Community Learning Centers CCLC) • Created under NCLB- provides opportunities forprograms that are based on local needs • Five-year grant funding - before-and after-school programs that provide disadvantaged students with academic enrichment and services to help the students meet academic standards

  4. ASES and 21st CCLC Programs in JUSD • Schools in Jurupa offering after school programs with ASES and 21st CCLC funding: • Glen Avon, Granite Hill, Ina Arbuckle, Indian Hills, Mission Bell, Pacific Avenue, Pedley, Peralta, Rustic Lane, Stone Avenue, Sunnyslope, Troth Street, Van Buren, West Riverside, Jurupa MS, Mira Loma MS and Mission MS

  5. THINK Together • JUSD -> THINK Together to provide outstanding after school programs in the district • 3 Quality Assurance Coaches who monitor and support the schools • 1 Site Coordinator per site -manages program and coaches staff • 3- 5 Program Leads per site who provide direct services to students
