  4. iliopsoas Tensor fasciae latae Origin Insertion • ASIS • Iliac crest • Iliotibial tract • Lateral condyle of tibia Nerve Action • Superior gluteal nerve (L4 – L5) • Abducts, flexes, & medially rotates hip

  5. iliopsoas Sartorius Origin Insertion • ASIS • Medial surface of tibia Nerve Action • Femoral nerve (L2 & L3) • Flexes, abducts, and laterally rotates hip

  6. Quadriceps femoris Rectus femoris Origin Insertion • AIIS • Ilium • Base of patella • Patellar ligament • Tibial tuberosity Nerve Action • Femoral nerve (L2,L3, and L4) • Extends leg at knee joint • Steadies hip joint • Helps iliopsoas flex thigh
