  2. Every year millions of people are affected by… … disasters, like floods, droughts, earthquakes and hurricanes.

  3. It is the world’s poorest and most vulnerable… …who suffer most from these disasters.

  4. At 4.53pm on the 12th January 2010… … a powerful earthquake hit Haiti.

  5. In just 37 seconds… … Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, was devastated.

  6. 1.5 million people were made homeless… … and are now living in massive camps.

  7. Marlene and her children… … saw their home destroyed.

  8. SCIAF is saving lives after disasters.

  9. There is another disaster happening in Haiti… … it’s an on-going disaster, called poverty.

  17. Lord Jesus, We ask you to care for the people of Haiti as they try to rebuild their country. Give courage and hope to those who have been and continue to be affected by last year’s earthquake and the terrible levels of poverty in the country. Help us to remember the responsibilities we have to care for our brothers and sisters in Haiti and other countries across the world. Amen
