  1. New Jersey has a large population of people who abuse drugs and other substances, including alcohol and prescription medication. Alcoholism and opioid abuse are a serious concern, particularly since the number of heroin overdoses in the area is triple the national average. More than 14,000 death were reported from the overdose of drugs since the year 2004. More Information: NJ rehab facilities As scary as this may seem, New Jersey has taken some initiative and opened many great treatment programs in the area. Roughly 70,000 patients saw admittance to various drug treatment centers in the year 2015, with more than 76,000 helped the year after. These numbers do show that the numbers of individuals looking for addiction help are going up, but they also demonstrate how the issue of substance abuse in New Jersey is rising too. The first steps of recovery are admitting that a problem exists and entering some type of treatment program. With more than 1,000 treatment and rehabilitation centers located in the state of New Jersey, addicts have numerous options available to them. Anyone and everyone who is dealing with their substance abuse problem can find something that fits their needs across the spectrum of treatment centers, which runs the gamut from facilities fully funded by the state and local governments to centers that are entirely privately managed. The cost involved with rehabilitation is one of the most common reasons for an addict to not seek treatment. A number of medical insurance policies do cover the costs that occur with a limited stay in a treatment center they authorize, but certainly not all coverage does this. Also, clinics might offer payment plans or other forms of financing to help out those unable to just pay for the involved expenses. Going to a non-profit organization that offers treatment at no or little cost is the other option that is available. State funded facilities are a solid option since these services are usually covered, but there are restrictions on the length of stay. Also, the waiting lists are usually quite long. In some cases, the government will also be able to help out in the form of grants. For those ready to take the next step, it's important to find the best drug rehab facility in the heart of New Jersey. Various facilities, clinics, and centers each offer distinct treatment programs. The best thing a person can do is take the time to look into each facility and see what their treatment programs are all about. One of the factors would be the time spent in a treatment facility. A number of centers operate on 28-day recovery principles, but other facilities might work on treating their patients until they are actually well, regardless of how long that might require. Another good idea is to learn more about what additional care is provided and what activities and amenities are available. The staff can also play a role in how well the treatment goes along with the specialists on board. Another important factor is a center that provides support and care after treatment. It's important for the center to help with re-integration as that is half the battle. Look at top resources from Rehab Hotline, Narcotic Anonymous, NJ Connect, and others to learn more about appropriate treatment options in New Jersey.
