  1. Challenge Biomedical Science – Immunology Vaccination Fred, the manager of an large orphanage in South Africa has asked for your help in deciding if their children should get the MMR vaccine. (Measles, mumps and rubella) There has been quite a lot of coverage about this vaccine in the media over the past 5 years and Fred is very unsure of what to do. The vaccine is also available in separate injections for mumps, measles and rubella. Each person should read one newspaper report (On the boards)on the Mumps, Measles and Rubella vaccination and think about the advantages and the disadvantages of the vaccine. Together as a group use A2 poster paper to make a list of reasons ‘for’ and reasons ‘against’ having the vaccine. As a group make a final decision and fill in the report for Fred. We as a team believe that you should / should not vaccinate the children. If you should, which one? Separate or combined vaccination Because…
