  1. Fidgets • Physiotherapist and other specialists involved in the care of students with ADHD recommends that students are given fidgets to amuse themselves when they are in the classroom. These fidgets are little squashy things that feel soft and wiggles in their hand. This they suggest avoids knocking on the desk of distracting others.

  2. Bouncy Ball & Squashy Mat Techniques • A big bouncy ball and a squashy mat is also recommended so students can jump and move around as much as they wish on the ball and the mat without the others in the class being disturbed. • This the professionals suggest will take away some of their irritability and appeal to their three inner senses which mainly focus on the cerebellum which gathers input from visual, the vestibular which deals with balance in the inner ear and somatosensory which deals mainly with tactile senses.

  3. Play Area Technique • A play area is also very necessary in the classroom to allow the students with ADHD to get frequent 10 minutes break from regular class schedule.

  4. Talking PowerPoint Books • We can use PowerPoint as a way to provide information or as a method for demonstrating knowledge. • Using talking power point to grasps and engage students in a lesson is a wonderful approach that is perfect for the child with ADHD. • It provides information for the younger as well as the older students to have them demonstrate their knowledge. It is an ageless approach in any educational setting.

  5. The use of the Interactive Whiteboard • Students with ADHD will benefit from having an interactive whiteboard in the classroom. It will grasp their interest and encourage them to be totally involved in the lesson. This device appeals to attention interest.
