  6. Description The images in this presentation are from the ICPI book, Patios, Driveways and Plazas – The Pattern Language of Concrete Pavers”. In this book there are over 300 color photos demonstrating how specific patterns, colors and textures enhance every outdoor environment – including patios, walkways, driveways, and grand urban plazas. This book and presentation expose the audience to many paver patterns and their design possibilities. Many visual examples instruct on how to differentiate designs with paver patterns, colors and textures. Many of the examples demonstrate relationships between the paver patterns and their support to the site and building design. The presentation vehicle is a “design vocabulary” that helps integrate pavement design with the site and building. Obviously, this is not a technical presentation, but focuses on the beauty and design versatility of segmental concrete pavements.
