  4. Effect of Global World on what we learn on how we think on what we do

  5. Purpose of the Lecture Awareness & Understanding for our students Preparing them better to be a good global citizen + Good PR for our high school, community

  6. Potential Topics & Speakers Education & Creativity - Ken Robinson or Cameron Herold Service – Paul Farmer (Partners in Health, Harvard) How to Run the World: Charting a Course to the Next Renaissance – Parag Khanna (New America Foundation) Sustainable living - ? ---- ?

  7. Logistics for the Lecture One Day - Fall (no exams, no sports, etc)? Time – during or after school (2 h) Place – Auditorium or Gym? Audience – Students + (parents?) Organization – Committee of interested students / Teachers / parents to choose the topic/speaker and make arrangements Publicity – Local Press (PD, TV) + Social media

  8. Costs / Funding $ 1000 - 2000 every year? Fund raising through events? Sponsorship from local businesses + City ? Aurora Schools Foundation has funds set aside, from donations, for the promotion of international awareness.
