C ADC60C Sub-CommitteeWaste Management & Remediation • 2009 Activities & Accomplishments: • Re-staffed subcommittee: • Jennie Armstrong, Tom Lewis & Brendon Bailey • 2 meetings (1 teleconference & 1 face-to-face) • Committed to cover 4 committees as liaisons: • Environmental Issues in Transportation Law • Transportation of Hazardous Materials • Transportation & Sustainability • Railroad Environmental Research Issues • Coordinated ADC60 Survey questionnaire & distribution

  4. C ADC60C Sub-CommitteeWaste Management & Remediation • 2010 Goals : • Obtain and Synthesize ADC60 Survey Results • Establish relationships with liaison committees • Select Research Priorities for sub-committee support • Plan 2011 Summer Workshop

ADC60 Outreach • 2009 Accomplishments: • 5 Regional Representatives: Steve Miller (NE), Brendon Bailey (SE), Steve Gobleman (Mid-West), Jennie Armstrong (NW), Rodney Concienne (SW) • Sent outreach information to over 280 recipients: DOTs, Transport Research Institutes, Local Agency Organizations, AGCs, Consultant Groups, & Port Associations • Received about 2-5% response • Impact on NYC Workshop registration unknown

  6. ADC60 Outreach • 2010 Goals: • Expand outreach list to include rail organizations and regulators • Advertise 2010 Mega Meeting • Use outreach mailing lists to distribute research needs survey • Request more one-on-one contacts from committee members & friends
