  2. gigantic • If something is gigantic, it is very, very big! • What size was the pumpkin you brought back from the farm? Was it gigantic, large, medium, or small? • What would be gigantic a toy truck or a monster truck?

  4. versatile • Versatile means something that can be changed easily so that it can be used in different ways. • Name all the versatile ways a pumpkin has been used in these pictures. • Which would be more versatile a sand pail or a candy bar?

  5. thrill • A thrill is to do something so exciting that it makes you a little tingly. • Was the hayride a thrill for you? • Which would be a thrill, riding a roller coaster or riding in a shopping cart?

  6. load • To load means to put things into something. Someone loaded these pumpkins into a cart. • What kinds of things could you load into a toy truck? • Would you load books or bats into your backpack?
