  3. Large, Complex Domains • Minimize 2D/3D mesh manipulation on desktop • Set up problems on geometry • Tag surfaces of shells (3D) or edges (2D) for boundary conditions • Separate geometric model from computational model • Postpone building the computational mesh until the very end
