LX navigation Cup. 1st Day 04 may 2014. The day is cancelled. BUT there are quite a few items to take care of. Immediately after the briefing, you are required to send your ONE igc file of your No 1 logger. Alternate solution is coming to the flight office and give it to Ludek.

  2. The day is cancelled • BUT there are quite a few items to take care of. • Immediately after the briefing, you are required to send your ONE igc file of your No 1 logger. Alternate solution is coming to the flight office and give it to Ludek.

  3. Arrival procedure: • Here is the main change. To follow FAI rules, there is a 3 km radius around the finish point. Thus the finish point is now over the airfield, with a 380m QNH minimum altitude. • Anyone crossing the line below that minimum altitude gets a 1point per meter altitude penalty (plus the same number of beers to pay for) • That is for the first and second offences. For the third, it is zero point for the task and 380 beers !!!

  4. Flying today • We expect asome improvement during the afternoon. If you want to exercise in weak conditions, or if you need to check some tuning in your glider, the tow plane and pilot will be available on runway 34 only. • But,keep in mind that : one, the runway will be pretty wet. And two,there will a fairly strong side wind (around 10m/second). So, use caution on both take off and landing. • Be particularly careful about using your car, the ground is soaked. You may get stuck, and leave deep lines on the grass ! One beer per meter !!

  5. Dinner tonight • Time for dinner has been moved forward. So it will start at 06.00 sharp. Don’t be late, unoccupied pilots get very hungry, very fast.
