Athanasius • [textual tradition/edition] • The Greek text, preserved in many mss, is one of several versions; two Latin versions, a Coptic, an Armenian, a Georgian and an Old Slavonic version exist from the Greek text. A distinct Syriac version exists, without sermons, but with a lot of other holy commentary. Arabic and Ethiopic versions exist too. The state of textual scholarship on the work is thus far inconclusive.
