Career Path in Architecture • Students have a wide variety of choices for careers in the architecture cluster • Residential, industrial or commercial construction careers are available • Construction careers make up the largest sector of jobs in this country and are the backbone of our national economy • Careers include: Project management, estimating, architecture, drafter, job superintendent, or crafts person Video clip 2

  3. Credentialing and Certification • Office of Career and Technology (OCTE) strongly recommends students graduate with industry credentials. Many state and educational entities agree credentialing is necessary • South Carolina State Standards align with national industry standards • Students graduating from high school are now better qualified to go to work or pursue a college degree with credentials
