    2. During a normal afternoon, the kids at Camp Half-Blood were playing a game of Capture the Flag. Percy and Beckendorf were walking at a fast pace through the woods and found themselves at the edge of a clearing. They’re were no trees in sight. Just grass. They were confused and didn’t know where they were. They had thought that the Nature Spirits got restless and shifted all the trees around. The Setting

    3. Percy Jackson-Has dark brown hair with green eyes that sparkle like a diamond. He's a brave and tough boy who has a soft spot for Annabeth. His father is Poseidon. Beckendorf-is a huge 18 year-old who has a permanent scowl and muscles like a pro ballplayer. He's a courageous guy who isn't afraid of anything. Beckendorf is going to attend NYU in the Fall. Annabeth-is a blonde with blue eyes that glimmer like the ocean at nightime.She’s is the type of girl you don’t want to mess with. Her weapon of choice is her Yankees cap of invisibility& celestial bronze knife. Silena Beaurgard-has long black silky hair and big brown eyes. She's the head counselor for Aphrodite. She’s a sweet girl, but when it comes to battle she doesn’t spear mercy. Main Characters

When Beckendorf is trying to make sure the Myrmeke(a mythical creature that looks like an ant, but it’s the size of a German Sheppard)doesn’t make it up the hill to it’s ant hill with the Bronze Dragon’s head. When he got to the Myrmeke he decided to jump on it’s back and try to slice it with his knife, it didn’t work. The Myrmeke turned around snapping it’s pinchers and bit him on his leg. Another Myrmeke spit acid on his face. More came out and carried him in to their hill. The Problem

    5. Since the Myrmekes were distracted with Beckendorf, they weren’t interested in the Bronze dragon’s head. So Percy, Annabeth, and Silena made a plan to reattach the Bronze Dragon’s head to it’s body. While dragging the head back into the forest they came across a humongous crater. They didn’t know where it came from. When they looked inside of it, they saw the rest of the dragon’s body. After they threw the head in the crater, Annabeth jump right in and started to try to reattach the wires to the dragon's neck. When she finished, it wouldn’t turn on. She realized you had to turn the dragon’s ruby eyes to activate it. After she did it she jump out of the crater. The dragon instantly jumped up. Silena told the Dragon that Beckendorf, the son of Hephaestus, was in trouble and he needed help. The dragon just took off running. They took off running too. After they caught up to him, they led him to the ant hill. When they arrived all of the Myrmekes spotted the gigantic dragon and swarmed around him. Percy, Annabeth, and Silena rush into the ant hill and rescued Beckendorf. Plot Resolution

    6. I thought the book was great. I usually hate mythical and action packed books , but this one was interesting. I loved how the book had just enough action to make me want to turn the page. My favorite part was when they found the Myrmeke’s ant hill and Percy wanted to run away like a little girl. What do I Think?

    9. During a game of Capture the Flag Percy and Beckendorf seem to find themselves face to face with a Myrmeke Ant Hill. They spot some Myrmekes trying to carry a big chunk of bronze into their hill. They weren’t exactly sure what it was, then it came clear to them. It was the Bronze Dragon’s head.(the Bronze Dragon is an old automaton that used to guard the camp’s entrance.)Beckendorf kept saying “it’s a sign from Hephaestus.’’ and how he couldn’t let the Myrmekes get it into their ant hill. He decided to take matters into his own hands and jump on top of the Myrmekes back and try to kill it. He clearly missed. The Myrmeke turned around and bit Beckendorf on the leg. Another Myrmeke came a spit acid in his face. Many more came out and carried him into their ant hill. Percy was about to run after Beckendorf ,but somehow Annabeth and Silena caught him. When Silena looked up only to see him being carried by a bunch of Myrmekes. She started to freak out. Then, Percy thought of a plan. They're going to find the rest of the dragon’s body, attach, and lead it to Beckendorf. Once they found the rest of his body, they chunked the head in with the rest of the body. Annabeth jumped right in and started to reattach the wires. Once she was finished, she jumped out instantly. The dragon didn’t move. She saw that you had to turn the ruby eyes, so she did. All of a sudden it jumped right up. Silena shouted to the dragon that Beckendorf was in trouble and how he need your help. She also said that he’s the son of Hephaestus. He instantly took off running. Once we caught up to him we lead him the rest of the way. When we got to the ant hill all of the ants came out and swarmed around the dragon. Since they were distracted with the Bronze Dragon, we ran in and rescued Beckendorf. Summary
