The intent of the course is to promote critical thinking and conceptual learning and will comprise lectures by the instructors and active student involvement including leading discussion of published literature. Students with strong interest in genomics sciences, host and pathogen biology, cellular signaling, and molecular genetics are encouraged to enroll. • Module I: “Death and decay, the murky world of fungal pathogens” • Module II: ““Friends or enemies: how plants perceive and interact with beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms” • Module III: “The molecular chess game: how plants defend against viruses and how viruses counter defend” Instructors: Drs.
