APEC ICT Net Project • 2006-2007 by KTCF and AEF • a culture of healthy ICT use and adverse effects of ICT use • Activities: • research, content development • educational campaign through a poster competition • content localization and distribution through pilot use of the content in local training workshops (Peru and the Philippines)

APEC Training Program for Preventive Education on ICT Misuse • KTCF and APWINC • enhancements on the previous training design and materials + training rollout • International Symposium on ‘Safe and Trusted ICT/ Internet Use, Actions Against Internet Misuse’ in September 2009 • Training workshops – Philippines & Indonesia

Training of Trainers • Objectives: • To come up with a 3-day end-user training workshop design for a special run of CILC • To review current CILC materials and incorporate KTCF materials into the Computer Ethics module (renamed as Responsible Use of ICT) • To plan the January 2010 end-user training implementation

Training of Trainers • Expected Outputs: • Training design • Draft Trainer’s Guidebook • Draft Trainee’s Manual • Draft Pre-Training and Post-Training Assessment Tools for trainees • Assignment matrix for each of the 3 end-user training runs using a team-teach approach • i.e. Shifting as main RP and as Lab Assistants • Online Updates

End-User Training Workshops • 3 on-site workshops on January 18-21, 2010 • 3-day workshop (instead of 5) • Topics: • ICT Basics • Internet • Responsible Use of ICT • Target end-user trainees: novice ICT users -teachers, parents of students, community workers, out-of-school youth and adults, etc. • Pre- and post-training assessment

  9. End-User Training Workshops • Each trainer • to get P3,200 • Meals and accommodations • Travel expenses • Each trainee • to get P150 as travel allowance (P50/day) • Meals during the workshop proper • Training facilities and kit

  10. Debriefing & Close-out • January 22-23, 2009: Quezon City • Training program evaluation • Experiences, challenges • Lessons learned, good practices • Recommendations • Basis for Terminal Report
