  3. Install the EHR-S FM extension on a Windows PC

  4. Installing the EHR-S FM extension • Copy the extension (File EHRSFM_EA_AddinSetup.msi) to your local hard drive. Make sure EA is not running! • Open Windows explorer and look for the folder where you copied the extension to. • Rename the extension to .msi by removing the part ‘RENAME_TO_. • Then right-click and "Install". Follow the steps the computer is asking for. See next slide.

  5. Select the renamed .msi file and install it (EA must not be running!). • After installation of the .msi (install or) start EA and open the EHR-S FM R2.eapfile. (Next slide).

  6. Open the EHR-S FM .eap file in Enterprise Architect

  7. Enterprise Architect as prerequisite • Sparx supplies Enterprise Architect licenses to HL7 International members working on HL7 projects. Please refer to the HL7 website for further instructions. • Individuals wishing to use Enterprise Architect for HL7 projects can download the software at http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/products/ea/ • The user can consult the Sparx website for downloading and installing Enterprise Architect. Please go to: http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/support/faq/download_install.html

Open the EHR-S FM .eap file in EA • To browse or work on the EHR-S FM in Enterprise Architect: get the .eap file from the EHR-S FM Tool package release 1. • Copy the .eap file to your local hard drive. Then there are several ways to open that .eap file. • Open Windows Explorer and look for the folder where you copied the file to. Double click on the file and Enterprise Architect will start. • The EHR-S FM will show up in the project browser (see further on for slide). • After a first start, you will see the EHR-S FM under Recent on the Start page of EA.

  10. Open Enterprise Architect by going to All programs menu in Windows • Look for Enterprise Architect -> click on the icon of EA • You will get the Start Page of EA. See slide 9. • To open the .eap file on your computer go to ‘File’ menu in the navigation of EA and choose ‘open project’. See next slide.

  11. Open Enterprise Architect by going to File -> open project • Go to ‘Browse for project’. • Click and you will get a Windows explorer. • Look for the folder where you copied the file to. • Click on that file and click on ‘open’. • You will see the package in the project browser of EA.

  12. In the project browser you will find the content of the EHR-S FM.

The Start Page of Enterprise Architect • Open the EHR-S FM by clicking on the project under ‘Recent’ • When nothing appears, click right on ‘view’ in the navigation and then on ‘Project Browser’. See next slide Note: If the EHR-S FM R2 project is notunder Recent, go to Manage projects and click on Open a Project File. Look in Windows Explorer for the folder whereyousaved the .eap file.

  15. The Project Browser will appear on your screen. To see the content of EHR-S FM open the Model in the Project Browser. Click on the plus (+) sign beside “Model”. See the next slide.

  16. The content of EHR-S FM in EA • Now you can browse through the content of EHR-S FM by clicking on a section, then a header, then a function. Then you will see the conformance criteria belonging to a function. • Use the + and – signs to open and close parts.

  17. Example of component (function) of the EHR-S FM. Tagged value of that component. Note: the tagged values are the technicalstorage of thatinformation. Theywillbeadded to the "FunctionForm" later (phase 2).

  18. Search the EHR-S FM • Click on the top level of the EHR-S FM • Go to ‘Edit’ in the navigation of EA, and choose ‘Model Search’. See next slide

  19. You will get a screen as shown on the next slide.

  20. Now you can search the EHR-S FM by putting a keyword in the field ‘Search Term’. For example ‘Allergy’ as shown. • When you do a ‘Simple ‘search, as shown in the field ‘Search’, EA will give you an overview of all the EHR-S FM components wherein the term ‘Allergy’ is used. • Click the Run button.

  21. From the resulting list of your search: 1. double click on the element you want to see in detail. OR 2. select the criteria, right click and select "find in project browser" and double click there to open the customform

  23. By clicking on Tagged Values the requirements of that element can be seen. The traceability to an older version can be seen in the Tagged Values. The traceability to the master spreadsheet can be seen in the Tagged Values. Or click in the project browser on the tab Tagged Value. See slide 18
