  1. CASO DELLA SETTIMANA SINUSITE BILATERALE IN PULLUS DI GABBIANO REALE

  2. IL PAZIENTE Pullus di gabbiano reale (Larus michahellis)piuttosto defedato con presenza di enormi tumefazioni al livello delle “guance”.

  3. INTERVENTO E’ stata eseguita una pulizia chirurgica della cavità dei seni infraorbitali, che all’apertura si presentavano completamente ricolmi di materiale necrotico bianco gialastro. L’accesso ai seni è stato realizzato con incisione cutanea a livello dell’osso zigomatico. L’intervento è stato realizzato in anestesia gassosa con isofluorano.

  4. ESITO L’intervento è riuscito. Il materiale necrotico è stato asportato completamente. L’incisione cutanea non è stata suturata in modo da garantire un’associazione fra terapia sistemica e una locale atta a ridurre al massimo la possibilità di recidive. Dopo pochi giorni dall’intervento il paziente accennava ad una alimentazione spontanea e dopo 7 giorni si è ripreso completamente acquistando 85 grammi negli ultimi 3 giorni.
