  4. Nodig: Gemoute gerst Gist bronwater Gerst in water drenken: Gerst ontkiemt -> enzymen in de korrel worden omgezet in suikers (later alcohol)

  5. 1. Gerst vermalen 3. Pottstills 5. Resevoirs Opslag gerst 4. Koelers 2.Moutkuip 5. Spitit safe 3. Alcohol

  6. Gerst verhit met turf Verhitte gerst vermalen tot grist

  8. In de moutkuip (mashturns) vermengt met warm bronwater Zetmeel -> suiker vele malen herhaald bij oplopende temp

  9. 1. Gerst vermalen 3. Pottstills 5. Resevoirs Opslag gerst 4. Koelers 2.Moutkuip 5. Spitit safe 3. Alcohol

  10. Vloeistof (wort) met toevoeging van gist in houten kuip Er ontstaat een drank met alc % van 8 procent (lijkt op bier)

  11. 1. Gerst vermalen 3. Pottstills 5. Resevoirs Opslag gerst 4. Koelers 2.Moutkuip 5. Spitit safe 3. Alcohol

  12. Drank in potstills verhit ->

  14. alc damp condenseert via koelers, wordt opgevangen

  16. Voorloop -> middenloop: white spirit (80%) white spirit opgevangen in houten reservoirs

  17. Opleg in vaten Smaak en kleur door vat Na 3 jaar pas whisky te noemen Meestal pas na 10 jr gebottled, hoe langer op het vat, hoe beter en duurder!
