  1. CLEOPATRA VII Does Cleopatra VII deserve her place in History?

  2. Intro • Cleopatra VII was the queen of Egypt from the Ptolemic dynasty who were Macedonian Greeks. Cleopatra was co-ruler with her brother/husband, Ptolemy XIII, who had eventually exiled her from Alexandria. She had sided with Ceasar to help her regain the throne. Cleopatra had a child for Ceasar. After Ceasar was assassinated, she had returned to Alexandria. Mark Antony, also from Rome had sided with Cleopatra and they had 2 kids.  A civil war had erupted between the two Romans, Mark Antony and Augustus. Cleopatra sided with Mark Antony when an army invaded Egypt and ended the Ptolemic rule.

  3. As a ruler, Cleopatra had very little Egyptian blood but took the time to learn Egyptian. Cleopatra was highly literate and was said to have an influence on the Roman Empire • The article was written by Joyce Tyldesley, Senior lecture at University of Manchester. She also is the author of Cleopatra: Last queen of Egypt and other works. I would consider this source credible. http:/www.britannica.com/biography/Cleopatra-queen-of-Egypt

  4. https:/www.ancient.eu/timeline/CleopatraVII/ • In 38 BCE , Cleopatra takes control and governs parts of Cilicia, Phoenicia, Cyrenaica, and Crate. This expands her empire as a ruler. • The timeline is collaborated by the editorial  by Ancient History Encyclopedia. There is no specific author of the timeline, however the Encyclopedia is credible but I am unsure of reliability.

  6. Although, Cleopatra may be perceived as a temptress of Ceasar and Mark Antony, she was also a great ruler of Egypt. Her rule of 22 years had brought stability to the economy. She also commanded armies, spoke many languages, and was well educated.

  7. The website is run by educators who create videos for teaching. The educator is Alex Gendler.  I would not consider a credible source due to the lack of information on the educator.

  8. https://www.smitsonianmag.com/history/who-was-cleopatra-151356013/https://www.smitsonianmag.com/history/who-was-cleopatra-151356013/ Cleopatra was originally exiled from Alexandria by her brother. She brought an army back to reclaim her throne. Ceasar had intervened to mediate a peace conference between the siblings. Cleopatra's brother had barred her from doing so. Cleopatra had devised a plan and was snuck in by being wrapped in a carpet. The scene displays her determination and is mentioned in movies or articles about her.
