  2. Visual Learning Style • When a student prefers using: • images • pictures • maps • colors • Easily visualize objects • Good spatial sense • Love drawing, especially with colors • Good dress-sense and color balance

  3. Auditory Learning Style • Follows directions precisely after 1-2 times • Concentrate better with music/noise in background • Talk out new information in order to learn it • Repeat new information back to clarify it better • Memorize what is said by using a song or rhythm • They will do exactly what you say • Even if it is the wrong thing

  4. Tactile/Kinesthetic Learning Style • Only 10% of the general population • Cannot hold attention after 3 minutes • Learn best from moving around; physical activity • Refers to an awareness of change in the body’s equilibrium • It’s about “feeling” what you are doing as you are doing it • Have an environment that requires students to physically react to stimuli

Strategies to Integrate Technology • Stop/Start/Replay in mediated programs (auditory) • Use PowerPoint in place of written reports (visual) • Apply graphics and 3-D models to everyday lessons (visual) • Use the Nintendo Wii for educational purposes (tactile) • Use United Streaming videos online with relevant information from lessons (visual and auditory)
