  2. SIXTH GRADE MANIA!!! • The HCMS News Team has recently asked multiple 6th graders about middle school. We got a series of different answers but some really stood out to us. The first question we asked was… • What is your opinion on middle school? Some said it is ok and stressful, and then on a totally different note, some people said that it is great and they love changing classes. • So far, do you like elementary school or middle school more? Basically everybody said they like middle school more because you have more freedom. • Do you like having 7 different teachers? Most of the 6th graders said yes because if you don’t necessarily enjoy one of the classes, you can always go to a different class. Some people said that they like having 1 teacher more because you don’t have as much homework and it is easier so that you won’t be late to class. • Are lockers hard to open? Do you like the lockers? This question had many different answers. Most people said that they are very hard and make you late to class. Some said that if you are in a rush and trying to open it fast, they are hard but if you have time they can be easy. And then some said that they are very easy and are a great help. • As you can see, it is equally divided among middle school being hard, and middle school being the best year ever. • BY: KIMBERLY HARRISON, KELI PARIS,AND KELSEY MCALISTER

  3. By: Madison Smith, Mary Grace Sullivan, and Cate WhiteHCMS FOOTBALL We are ready for the football games, and so are the football players. We hope y’all are too. We interviewed some players from 7th and 8th grade. The first interviewed was with an eighth grader, Graham Parker. We asked him a few questions about this season. We first asked him if he liked a little or large crowd? He said that he like a larger crowd. The next question was, “What are you looking forward to this season?” He said, “To win the first game.” The final question for Parker is how is your relationship is with the players? He said, “We’re all really close, and we are almost like a family.” • We next interview Wade Passler. We first asked him what do you need to work on as a team? He said, “We need to work on offense and defense.” We asked, “How do you think the coach would react if you lost?” He then answered, “The coach would make us do four hour practices, and would be mad.” “How would he react if you won?” “If we won he would be very proud of the team.” The last question is what are you looking forward to this season? “Becoming city champ.” We interviewedWitt Vincent,he was so excited. We asked him how has practice been? He gave us an answer that everyone’s good, and everyone is learning the plays pretty well. Then we asked him what are you expecting out of this season? He gave us an enthusiastic answer. I’m expecting the team to be successful because we’re picking things up quick. We wish the football team the best of luck.

Soon after the movie starts you get very hooked and it becomes very hard to stop and look away. Caesar is the head of the whole ape population and Andy Serkis did a very good job with the voice of Caesar. It is one of those movies that you have to buy and see over and over again. If you have not seen it you should go see it ASAP because it is amazing! 10 out of 10!!
