RECICLAGEM E COMPOSTAGEM COM ATERRO DE REJEITOS • Sistema Comprometido com a Proteção Ambiental • Propicia a Economia de Energia e Recursos Naturais • Proteção à Saúde Pública • Cria Oportunidades de Trabalho e Renda • Aumenta a Vida Útil da Área do Aterro (até 4 vezes) • Recicla Resíduos Reintroduzindo-os no Processo Produtivo • Porque os resíduos gerados apresentam elevado potencial de reintegração ambiental, em torno de 75% • Para acabar com o lixão existente no município e suas conseqüências • Por ser um sistema de tratamento, e não só de destinação final

Por ser uma solução de baixo custo se comparada a outros processos que trazem benefícios para a saúde pública e ao ambiente • Por ser uma solução que suscitará no município várias outras atividades a exemplo de: - mobilização e participação da comunidade - implantação de projetos agregados  Geração de trabalho e renda  Inserção social dos catadores e familiares  Coleta seletiva  Horta comunitária  Horto florestal  Laboratório de ciências (UTC)  Oficina de reciclagem, entre outros.
