  25. F.Y.I. Four CLAS Academic Departments relocated to/in Old Main. Department of Psychology collaborated with Kutztown Area High School to offer the first college level course (Psychology 011) to their juniors and seniors at the High School. Department of Nursing implemented a 100% online option for the undergraduate nursing courses.

(continued) Dr. Jim Delle, Chairperson of the Department of Anthropology/Sociology, and 16 students from KU organized an exhibition entitled “Lenape: The Original People” at Reading Public Museum (May 17–Sep 14, 2008) The Modern Language Studies Department is offering Chinese for the first time at KU.

  27. F.Y.I. (continued) With help from the KU Foundation, the CLAS Dean’s Scholarships were established. In 2007-08, scholarships were awarded to four outstanding CLAS students; those students will continue to receive the scholarship for 2008-2009. Additionally in 2008-2009 six outstanding CLAS incoming freshmen were awarded Dean’s Scholarships. Dean’s Scholarships were also awarded to four CLAS underclassmen who presented work at the Berks County Research and Creativity Conference.
