  2. Benefiting the Texas Boys Ranch We will benefit the Texas Boys Ranch by making a fundraiser. The fundraiser will gain financial donations from the Texas Tech Greek community.

  3. Greek Community Background • Habitat for Humanity • Relay for Life • Greeks have raised over $50,000 • Philanthropy is a major part of Greek Life.

  4. Why the Texas Boys Ranch deserves Greek Aid • Has been serving Lubbock’s youth for over 30 years. • Offers a home to abused and neglected children. • Offers a second chance to youth that have made bad decisions. • Teaches responsibility and gives children a loving environment.

  5. Feasibility • There is a good chance of this happening • Greeks are notorious for Philanthropy, one just needs to show them why this project is deserving. • Get the editor of the Toreador on board and the Greeks will follow.

  6. How it will work • Each greek organization is required to raise $20 per member. • Raising money can be obtained in many ways • Building it into dues for each semester • Fundraisers • Asking parents for donations • The fraternity and sorority that raises the most money will • Have a picture with Bob Mize handing over a check in the Daily Toreador

  7. What needs to Happen • Contact the editor of the Toreador • Get permission to give presentation to IFC and Panhellenic • Convince both parties to pass legislation requiring all greek organizations to raise $20 per member once a month.
