Language ArtsReading, Writing, and Language • Reading – Reading skills will be developed through the use of Reader’s Workshop-independent reading, novels, and basal stories. • Reading Log will be due every nine weeks. • Language Skills will be enhanced through the writing process and incorporated into compositions. • Writing will be graded on a scale of 1-4. • Spelling will be assessed weekly-pretest on Monday and final test on Friday. • Writing STAAR Test: March 30-31 • Reading STAAR: April 22

  3. Math/ Science/ Social Studies Math – Core Math Fast Math Texas Go Math! Hands on and group activities Skills will build upon each other STAAR Test April 21 Science – Fusion Will be using physical experiments as well as Science Lab Students will be making daily journal entries “Daily Science” Assignments due Friday Social Studies – History and social systems of Texas Texas Studies Weekly
