  5. For the Film… • Research “The Great Debaters” online for plot summaries and historical background • Write down 5 important details that deal with the storyline, details from the film, and history at that time • Now write down 5 things you want to learn about from watching this film

For your Final… • Get into your group of four • Decide who will be paired with whom • Come up with a list of at least 5 possible topics • For the topics try to find 2 major points both for and against the given issue • If your group can agree on one topic (with 2 points on either side of the issue) get the topic logged and begin research
