  1. Get the Best Plumber You Can When you have a plumbing issue, it can be tempting to simply hire whoever answers the phone first. However, plumbers differ a great deal from one another. If you hire a plumber without a full vetting process, you run the risk of overpaying, being underwhelmed or both. Follow the below tips and you’ll be more likely to walk away satisfied from your Plumbing Repair Service. First and foremost, always make sure your plumber is both licensed and insured before allowing them to start work on your home. In fact, ask to see both a copy of their insurance and their license. A plumber who has not met state training requirements, and thus isn’t licensed, may not have the skills necessary t solve your plumbing issues. Quite the opposite, they might end up making matters worse. Whether they’re a journeyman, independent contractors, etc. they must have a license from the state in order to work. Lack of insurance is a red flag as well as it means the plumber will not be covering damages or injuries even if they cause them. This is an especially risky process if your problem is a plumbing emergency and thus involving more expenses. Your plumber should have workman’s compensation as well as general liability and be able to present proof of both. Another characteristic your ideal plumber will have is experience. They should be part of a company with a longstanding reputation. If they work independent of companies, you should still be able to ask for references from them.

  2. Never hire a plumber who can’t provide you clear quotes ahead of time. This should include a quote for a service call and a quote after they understand what the problem is. If they’re hourly, they should include an estimate on how many hours it will take. If you are getting new fixtures, be sure the quote includes what they’ll be charging you for them (if you didn’t buy them yourselves). Their quotes should also include any consideration for the quality of the fixtures and whether or not that affects their price. This might seem like a lot to take into consideration just to hire a Plumbing Contractor, especially if the job is a simple one. But it only takes one bad experience with a plumber to learn your lesson forever. Spend the time upfront to scrutinize your plumber choice and you’ll be rewarded with better service and a smaller bill. For more details visit: http://www.calljustplumbing.com
