TELECOMS SINGLE MARKET • EU Commission proposal • Adopted by Commission 9 September 2013, endorsed by European Council on 24 October, adoption process of legislation kicked-off • Including "Recommendation" on costing and non-discrimination (evolving existing market regulation) • Objective: reinforcing the Single Market for the digital economy • Overcoming fragmentation of markets in the EU • Contribution to EU growth strategy • Reinforced coordination on spectrum planning and management • Strengthened consumer rights • Stimulate broadband coverage by reducing deployment costs

CONNECTING EUROPE FACILITY • Strengthen citizens mobility across borders • Create potential for budget savings (up to 100 bn €) • Connect national infrastructures • Create Digital Services infrastructures in sector specific areas (eHealth, eJustice, eProcurement) • Reusable building blocks such as eID, eSignature, eDelivery
