  2. Dear friend of A.P.P.L.E. The attached electronic greeting card represents a donation sent to A.P.P.L.E. (The American Professional Partnership for Lithuanian Education) in your honor - to commemorate the holiday season. The picture, symbolizing both the holiday season and A.P.P.L.E., was composed by a member of A.P.P.L.E.. You can print the e-card (without the video) or use it as a holiday desktop background with the hope that it will remind you of our best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year extended to you and yours. Since 1991, A.P.P.L.E. has been providing continuing education to teachers, social workers, school administrators, librarians, and special educators. Our goal is to help Lithuania and its schools in transition to freedom and democracy.This donation will help us to acquire teaching supplies and to print essential handouts distributed to hundreds of eager educators during on-going A.P.P.L.E. summer seminars. To increase A.P.P.L.E.’s presence in Lithuania, we invite you to make a similar donation in honor of your friends and family. Just forward a copy of this e-mail and attached card to those with whom you wish to share in this holiday goodwill gesture. Please donate $5.00 per recipient. Having added the total number of recipients and multiplied by 5, please send a check for that amount to A.P.P.L.E., P.O. Box 179017, San Diego, CA 92177. On your check, please write “Christmas Cards” in the memo line. You will receive an acknowledgement of your donation for income tax purposes.
