  1. Does Temperature Affect the Strength of a Magnet? Abstract Magnetism is the force where objects are attracted or repelled to one another at different strengths. My experiment is about whether or not magnets are affected by temperature. What I wanted to know was whether temperature Affects the strength. Tedra Kay Spencer Hypothesis How the temperature of a magnet will affect the attraction between it and different types of metals. Conclusion My experiment happened to show that magnets are affected by temperature. When a magnet is both heated and cooled, it makes it slightly weaker. Because my experience showed this, my hypothesis was supported. Results: My results tell me that overall temperature does affect the strength of a magnet slightly. • Materials • Magnets (same size&strength) • Freezer • Hair Dryer • Timer • Ruler • Paper • Paper clip • Nail • Shelf holder thingy Methods Basically what I did was I tested the strength of a room temperature magnet, a cool magnet, and a warm magnet. I did this by measuring the distance between the magnet and the object when they started to draw closer together.
