Esta majestuosa geografía natural se divide realmente en tres cataratas: Primero se ubica las «cataratas canadienses» (de Ontario), las «lupas americanas» (de Nueva York) y las «cataratas Velo de Novia», las más pequeñas. A pesar de no tener una altura extensa, son muy amplias, y son las más voluminosas de América del Norte.Curiosamente,el nombre <Niagara> se origina de una palabra Iroquesa, que significa «Trueno de Agua». Los primeros Habitantes de la region eran los «Ongiara»,una tribu Iroquesa llamada «los neutrales» por los Conquistadores franceses.

  3. This majestic natural geography is actually divided into three falls: First is located the "Canadian Falls" (Ontario), the "American magnifiers" (New York) and "Bridal Veil Falls", the smallest. Despite not having a large height, are very large, and are the most voluminous of North America. Interestingly, the name "Niagara" originates from an Iroquois word meaning "thunder of water." The first inhabitants of the region were Ongiara an Iroquois tribe named the Neutrals by French conquerors.

September 8, 1827, before an audience of some 10,000 people, the schooner Michigan plunged over Niagara Falls decorated as if it were a pirate ship. Inside were introduced a buffalo, two bears, a pair of old raccoons, a dog and a goose. The owners of several hotels in the area had bought the boat months ago and had been commissioned to advertise the event to promote its new facilities. "Boat with wild and ferocious animals will be released by the Falls" - announced the posters.
