CTA Bus Working 4 Us

This project focuses on improving the CTA bus system by reducing bus stops, increasing the number of available buses, and introducing express routes. The aim is to provide a more efficient and convenient transportation experience for passengers. The project was led by Dr. Carmen Sanchez and completed by 7th-grade students from Kelly Novelo's reading class. Winners were selected based on the quality of their presentations. The project was sponsored by Navigation Technologies, Chicago Public Schools, and DePaul Center for Urban Education.

  6. Itinerary: IPMS to Devry • The ride on the bus will be shorter because there will be less bus stops. • The busses will be less crowded, since there will be more of them. • For the same reason people will waste less time waiting for the bus.

  7. Are You Tired of the Crowded Busses? • Eduardo Diaz • Maria Valdez

  8. Itinerary: IPMS to Lincoln Park Zoo • There should be two busses every 15 minutes from IPMS to Lincoln Park Zoo • This will allow the families and their children to visit the Zoo often

  9. Going to DePaul University • Jessica Figueroa • Debra Franco • Jose Hernandez • Daniel Silva

  10. Itinerary: IPMS to DePaul • We believe that DePaul University should have its own express bus. • It’s cheaper! • It’s faster! • It’s less of a hassle!

  11. Express Yourself • Francisco Adame • Izabella Kogut • Joselyne Nicolalde • Steven Paschal

  12. Itinerary: IPMS to Navy Pier • We would create an express line from IPMS and our neighborhood to Navy Pier. • It would allow us to visit downtown Chicago and all the attractions of Navy Pier more often.

  13. Changing Bus Route 74 • Erica Agrinsoni • Edgar Boyas • Sarah Prieto • Xavier Rodriguez

  14. Itinerary: Pulaski to Brickyard Mall • As of now the bus 74 runs only during the day. • We would change the Fullerton Bus Route to 24 hours, so that it would be available early in the morning and late at night.

  15. CTA Express • Juan Ceballos • Susana Jasso • Megan Villanueva • Jonathan Valencia

  16. Itinerary: IPMS to DePaul • We would make the busses longer, so less people will be standing up. • It will increase the safety of the bus ride.
