  1. CLAT Exam Syllabus The CLAT committee had recently revised the syllabus for CLAT 2020. The revised syllabus includes the following subjects:

  2. English Language Current Affairs and General Knowledge Legal Reasoning Logical Reasoning Quantitative Techniques

  3. English Language: The English Language section will have passage-based questions, which will test the vocabulary as well as comprehension skills of the candidate. The length of the passages shall be about 450 words and will be derived from contemporary or historically significant fiction and non-fiction writings.

  4. Current Affairs & General Knowledge: Passage based questions derived from recent news, journalistic sources and other non-fiction writing will be asked from the candidates. Questions will test the awareness of candidates in various aspects of current affairs including historical events, international affairs, contemporary events of significance from India, art and culture etc.

  5. Legal Reasoning: Passage based questions involving legal matters, public police questions or moral philosophy will be asked from the candidates. Candidates will be expected to identify the rules given, apply the rules in the given problem and alter the application of rules by understanding the change.

  6. Logical Reasoning: Passage based questions involving both inductive as well as deductive reasoning shall be asked to the candidates. The candidates will be required to recognize the problem, identify the arguments, make a critical analysis of the patterns, gather inferences and draw conclusions by making analogies

  7. Quantitative Techniques: The quantitative techniques section will test the mathematical ability of candidates. Questions from the section will include set based factual questions, graphical, pictorial, diagrammatical and concept based questions up to the level of 10th Standard.
