Who my explorer is • I was from Portugal. • Born in 1480 died in 1522. • Told king Spain they could sail West to the spice islands. • The commander of five ships the Victoria , San Antonio, Trinidad,Conception,Santiago. • Parents died while I was at age ten. • Soldier of Portugal. • Navigator • Paid poorly so moved to Spain in 1517. • Animaniacs Video

  3. Why I was important • I navigated East to West to the spice islands. • I discovered the inlet from Atlantic to Pacific ( Magellan strates ) . • I discovered Pacific Ocean. • I led the first European voyage of discovery.

  4. What Impact I had • I was the first realize that you could circle the world by boat • I found passage through South America named after him Magellan strates. • I named the Pacific.

  5. How Itraveled • I sailed a ship (Trinidad) and four others. • While I was sailing the water was very Rough water. • The Pacific was calm but stormy. • me and my crew had to eat saw dust , rats , and leather and some of my men got scurvy.

  6. When and where • 1519 sailed from Spain to Saville. • I went from West to south America. • I went from Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. • I went to passage called Magellan Strates.

  7. Interesting facts • I took 38 days to sail through the Magellan Strait • I took 4 months to sail through the pacific to Guam. • LapuLapu tribe killed Magellan in Makaka. • Sebastian Del Cano brought Victoria back to Spain!
