Goal: improve the lives of the urban poor by providing them  with opportunities in livelihood and spiritual growth.  • Aspires   for  each   of  its    • communities    to   become: • Self-sustaining  • Caring • Responsive   to   the  nation’s   problems • Facilitative to the needs and aspirations of the poor

  3. …organization has grown into a federation  with  over  3, 000 active members. It continues to spread in urban  poor  communities: Leveriza, Paco, Pandacan and Maria Orosa in Manila General Trias and Paliparan in Cavite Sariaya in Quezon Villa Abono, Danao and Basak in Cebu

Alay Kapwa activities cover the following: • Spiritual enrichment programs (value formation and bible studies) • Income generating projects (community-based livelihood opportunities) • Aid projects [support day care/pre-school programs, milk and feeding programs, rice subsidies, health programs, crisis (disaster recovery) programs] • Educational scholarships

Alay   Kapwa   Tindahan,   Inc. ...the organizational arm that supports the income generating projects ... product range spans recycled paper products, crocheted items, decorative candles, soap and food products Part of the proceeds  are plowed back to support its many non-revenue generating projects.
