Core Science Courses Ability to Progress Requirement All KIN students must complete the following courses with a 2.0 or better by the time they reach junior standing (56 credit hours): CEM 141 (4) General Chemistry I KIN 216 (3) Applied Human Anatomy MTH 103 (3) College Algebra PHY 231 (3) Introductory Physics I PSL 250 (4) Introductory Physiology

  6. Admission to Major Kinesiology Degree • No application process, but to move on to junior year, • All KIN and AT majors must pass five core science courses with at least a 2.0

  7. Athletic Training Degree • Provide sports medicine services to athletes in: • K-12 Schools • University Programs • Clinical settings • Industry • Professional Programs • Athletic Trainers care for athletic injuries by: • Recognizing • Evaluating • Treating • Rehabilitating • Managing

  8. Formal Admission Process for the Athletic Training Major Students apply during their sophomore year • Application • Essay • Three reference letters • Completion of prerequisite courses with a 2.5 • Completion of Core Courses with a 2.0 • Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher • Interview with MSU Athletic Training Admissions Board
