Center for Engineering Strong Motion Data (CESMD) • Established by the USGS and the CGS to integrate strong ground motion record access • Single unified facility includes receiving strong motion data from field stations, processing data, rapidly releasing data via web site, and archiving • Center Management Group (CMG), and Center Advisory Committee • Goal: Timely, quality-controlled, easily accessible strong-motion records for engineering application
