  2. Setting • March 1, 1810 – Birth of Frédéric François Chopin (Warsaw, Poland) • 2 a.m. October 17, 1849 – Death from Tuberculosis (Paris) • Settled down in Paris at age of 21 • Born and Raised in Warsaw, Poland • Original roots from France

  3. Character Qualities Chopin was extremely vain because he thought highly of himself and had very high standards. Chopin was very opinionated and strongly believed what he thought was right. Chopin was talented in music since he composed music from a young age and was known as a child prodigy.

  4. Weaknesses • Bad tempered • Bad relationship with other pianist and created tension between others • Meyerbeer pointed out mistake – Chopin was outraged

  5. Hardships • Weak body and sickly under medical care • Weighed 99Ib at 25 years of age • Hemoptysis (coughing blood), later Bronchitis and Laryngitis • Not able to overcome, later died of sickness at 39 years of age
