  1. Ps 139:1 ¶ <<For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.>> O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. 7 ¶ Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

  2. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

  3. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. • 17 ¶ How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! • 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. • 23Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my thoughts; • 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

  4. 1Pe 2:17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. Jn 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

  5. Ec 3:1 ¶ To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: 2 A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; 3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; 7 A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; 8 A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

  6. New Years A Time of New Beginnings A Time to Choose A Time to Forget • A Time to Purpose

  7. Symbols & Traditions of New Years

  8. It is believed that the Babylonians were the first to make New Year's resolutions, For the Babylonians, the start of the new year was a good time to return borrowed items, such as farming equipment, and so begin the new year with a clean slate. The early Christians believed the first day of the new year should be spent reflecting on past mistakes and resolving to improve oneself in the new year.

  9. A Time to Choose It has been said that a person’s life is virtually the sum total of their choices. De 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live: Jos 24:15 ¶ And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this daywhom you will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

  10. A Time to Forget Ph 3:7 Brethren, what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind Forgetting those things which drag you down. Let go of Remorse for Past sins, past failures, past pains, past losses, past bitterness, past worldly attachments

  11. A Time to Purpose To set one’s heart and mind to accomplish something. Lu 9:51 ¶ Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, Ac 18:20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not; 21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem: 21:13 Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." Heb 6:1 ¶ Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection,
