  18. Observations

  19. #1. 76% of our churches – (29 out of 38) posted losses or no gains in morning worship attendance.

  20. #2. 23% of our churches – (9 out of 38) posted gains in morning worship attendance. These 9 “growing churches,” on average, added only 5 people per year to Sunday morning attendance.

  21. #3. Despite adding three new church plants, the SMC has experienced a 14% decline representing over 1100 people in worship attendance in this six year span.

  22. #4. In the same six years, we have reported 5296 conversions.

  23. #5. Left unchanged, the SMC will be extinct in 40 years while at the same time having won over 50, 000 people to Christ. We are evangelizing ourselves into extinction!
