  3. Objectives • Describe the role of mentor, supervisor and tutor • Identify the differences between the roles • Describe each role in relation to the placement setting

  4. ‘Who’s Who?’ game Take a sheet of paper & tear it into 3 equal pieces Write one of these words on each sheet • Mentor • Supervisor • Tutor Look at the descriptions of the role on the board, decide which best fits the description and hold up that piece of paper. Mrs Price will add the numbers & write them here!

  19. Some definitions • Mentor – A trusted friend, counsellor or teacher. An experienced person. • Tutor – teacher, monitor of progress • Supervisor – coach, team leader, instructor
